Duarte Jorge

Jorge Duarte is a senior agronomist with a bachelor's degree in Agronomy, specializing in Hortofruticulture from the University of Algarve. He has been working with berries since 2004, gaining experience at two leading companies in Portugal. Since 2012, he has focused on providing specialized advisory services within Portugal.

In 2015, Jorge founded Hortitool Consulting to expand his consulting business. Today, Hortitool Consulting is a leading provider of consulting services for strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry production in Portugal.

On the international stage, Jorge has been active since 2015, working primarily across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and the Caucasus. His expertise has taken him to numerous countries, including Portugal, Spain, Italy, Morocco, Romania, Austria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, India, and Egypt. Jorge has advised leading companies and projects in the berry sector, covering more than 1,000 hectares of cultivated land by 2024.

Sánchez García Prometeo

Prometeo Sánchez García, Ph. D. in Agricultural Sciences with a specialty in Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition from the Russian University in the Russian Federation in 1992. He was a Senior Research Professor at the Postgraduate College since 1993. He was Secretary of the Mexican Society of Soil Science A.C. and President of the Mexican Society of Plant Nutrition, A.C. He trained more than 360 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students.

He is the author and co-author of 120 articles in national and international journals, in addition to six manuals and books. He has taught more than 500 courses and workshops on various topics in plant nutrition to technicians and producers in Mexico, Central and South America. He has participated as a speaker in more than 200 events. He is an advisor and consultant to national and international companies in soil, water, and nutrition management for horticultural crops.

Amazouz Said

Mr. Said Amazouz, an Agronomist specialized in Plant Protection, graduated from the National School of Agriculture in Meknes in 1999. He began his career at Domaine Douiet in 1999, and later joined the Azura Group (Maraissa) in 2001, where he played a key role in establishing the grafted seedling nursery.

He also managed the internal nursery for vegetable seedling production. He was part of the internal auditing team within the same group and took charge of integrated pest management development.

In 2007, he joined Koppert Morocco, a subsidiary of Koppert Biological Systems, as Technical Director. He significantly contributed to developing integrated pest management in Morocco for pepper, tomato, and soft fruit crops. In 2016, he joined the Domaines Zniber Group as Technical Director overseeing tree crops, citrus, olive trees, open field crops, and soft fruits. Since 2018, he has been one of the associated owners and the manager of the Company Solutions Agricoles s.a.r.l. This company has established itself as an agro-supplier, particularly in integrated pest management, natural pollination, agricultural nets, plant nutrition, and biopesticides. He is also an independent producer, expert, and accredited private agricultural advisor.

After completing her studies at a leading Moroccan business school, Sofia began a career in international trade and logistics management within a multinational company.

Since 2014, her professional journey has led her to head the sales and marketing department of one of the largest and most important berry production companies in Morocco. This experience has given her extensive knowledge of foreign markets and nurtured her passion for berries.

In 2021, Sofia embarked on an entrepreneurial path by founding "Afripick," a trading company focused on marketing Moroccan production and enhancing the brand image of valuable products. Subsequently, in 2022, Sofia Rbei established the Spanish subsidiary "Afripick Spain" to oversee the supply chain,

Agricultural engineer with studies in farm management, advanced degrees in agricultural sciences and post-harvest of fruits, she has held management positions in various fruit nurseries, in genetic improvement programs for different species, and with fresh fruit exporters, particularly blueberries; developing teamwork with professionals from different countries, other companies, and universities.

As a trainer, she has also given courses and conducted research work. She has held positions in quality management, post-harvest, and as a post-harvest manager for companies, leading a series of projects in innovation and post-harvest in Latin America, the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Since September 2020, she has been working as a quality, post-harvest, and innovation advisor at Berries and launched the web platform www.myblueproject.com which brings together post-harvest technologies and related scientific information.

Currently Technical Agronomist Account Manager EMEA at WayBeyond and an independent consultant, he helps producers optimize their performance through innovative solutions that integrate agronomic data, connected technologies (IoT), and climate management tools. Formerly Technical Director at Afrifruit, he led strategic projects in crop rotation, fertilization, input management, and profitability.

His approach combines technical expertise, strategic vision, and practicality in the service of more sustainable, profitable, and resilient agriculture.
